Week 1

Welcome to another great season. The rain held off just long enough to complete both hours.

Thanks to Jane for organizing the pizza and validating the scores.

For some players this was their first night back after a long winter layoff. The courts are free Wednesdays for you to book and try and get back your timing and for some their serves. A little hitting may remove some of that rust.

Score for April 26th.
Team 1              10
Team 2               8
Team 3               8
Team 4              16
Team 5               5
Team 6              18
Team 7              20
Team 8              20
Team 9              12
Team 10             23

Team Captains please verify that all your players are available for next week. Peter McCreary is scheduled as your courtside Captain in charge next week. Thanks Peter.

Team 7, Captained by Ian Thompson is the first to break 100 with a league leading 107. Remember if you are down every game won is worth a point so keep trying.

For those teams in the lower half of the standings. Are you using the entire court so as to make your opponents move? It is harder to hit a ball while running as I'm sure you may have found out. Do you try and hit to the weaker opponent as they are doing to you?
