Men's A2 team tryouts

Post by Jimmy Connors »

This year Wanless Park Tennis Club has one men's team which competes in the A2 division of the Toronto Men's Tennis League - Peder Enhorning and Jim McDonough are the Co-Captains.

Please come out on Saturday April 12th from 10;00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wanless Park.

This Team won the B1 division last year and we're looking to add some cracker jack players to make us competitive in this higher division . The team plays on Thursday nights and we generally have free spirited practices on Saturdays and Sundays between the hours of 2-4. Games usually start at 7 pm (no earlier than 6:30 pm), and every other game is usually a home game. More details to follow once we receive the schedule.

So give the Men's Tennis Team a shot, come try out!

Let us know if you are interested by sending an message to Peder or Jim before April 12th. Even if you can't commit full time, consider being a substitute player - as we always need subs!

Wanless Men’s A2 Team is looking for a few good men.

Yes we’re looking for the best of the best to represent our club in interclub play against the best of the best from other local clubs.

Team Tryouts are coming up on Saturday April 10th 2-4pm and Wednesday April 14th 7-9pm.

Regular practices for those players who make the team will be held every Saturday from 3 to 5 pm , beginning Saturday, April 17th.

Peder Enhorning and James McDonough will be your Co-Captains for the 2010 season. The Men's team fields 'A' players who are generally ranked 4.5 or higher.

Prior to the tryout dates, we encourage you to review the new Teams policy created by the Executive for the Wanless Park Tennis Teams. Match dates have not yet been set, but we will be playing on Thursday nights for about 7 weeks starting in mid-May.
