September 9th
We started the fall house league with beautiful summer like weather. From my observations the overall quality of tennis seems to improve with each house league. Congratulations to Catherine Wyatt's Team 4 on being our week 1 winner.

September 16th
Team 8 (Captain Whitney Binns) had a huge week pulling in to the lead. As it is getting darker earlier at this time of year the first and second hours will be playing in the dark.

We had several no shows at 7:00 pm so Captain's please remind your team members that they are responsible for finding a replacement and then informing you. It is not fair to those that do show up if their opponents are missing.
Whitney Binn's Team 8 is still holding on to a slim 2 point lead. Mike Antoniades' Team 2 is now challenging after a weekly win.

Please be sure once you have played your 14 games or the whistle blows to come to the scorekeeper and ensure your team's scores are recorded properly. Your score plus your opponents should equal 14 if you have played all your games.

What a race!!! We have 3 teams within a point of each other after 5 weeks. Next week will decide it all weather permitting.

Week 6 - October 22nd Final Fall House League Results
Wow, after 6 weeks of battling we ended up with 4 out of the 8 teams within 3 points of one another.
Teams 4 (Captain -
Catherine Wyatt, Jocelyn Bertheau, Rocky Newcombe, Cynthia McCall, Nancy Estey, and Peter Kingston) tied Team 5 (Captain -
Claude Seni, Fred Wuertz, Martha Cole, Nancy Clark-Kingston, and Gavin Wardle) with 94 points.
Team 8 (Captain - Whitney Binns, Gary Ashby, Judy Thomas, Robert Webb, and Don Shatford) came in second with 93 points.
It doesn't get any closer than this folks.

I would like to thank Anne Fairlie for her help with our pizza and prizes throughout the season. I would also like to express my personal gratitude to all those Captains who help keep the league going.
