Opening BBQ Weekend

This Saturday April 22nd at NOON you don't want to miss the annual Wanless Tennis Club Opening BBQ. Hamburgers, hotdogs, and celebrities will all be on hand for the BBQ and related activities at the clubhouse and on the courts.

Merchant of Tennis Racquet Demos

Are you looking for a new tennis racquet to replace your outdated one or are you considering a spare racquet just in case you break a string during that all-important match?

Join us from 12:30 pm to 2 pm on Opening Day at Wanless Park, Saturday, April 22, 2006, for an opportunity to demo an adult racquet courtesy of The Merchant of Tennis, 1621 Bayview Avenue.

Members can participate in games/contests to win prizes. The Merchant of Tennis will also provide an information booth to explain racquets, both adult and junior, including samples of junior racquets for Parents to look at and size up their kids' racquet requirements.

Racquet tuning and re-stringing

There will be someone on hand at 11AM to work on tennis racquets on opening day. He will be able to tune up and/or re-string your existing tennis racquet. This person is offering really reasonable rates and is highly recommended.

Opening Day Round Robin

There will be a mixed doubles Round Robin event taking place right after the BBQ.
Sign up for this event is in person at the event. Starts at 2pm.
